What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative is a style of yoga that is focused on increasing your vitality by making you rest deeply. A restorative yoga class is unlike any other typical yoga class you see everywhere. Through thoughtful use of props, we target the parasympathetic nervous system. Triggering your nervous system rest and digest response with ease. You'll walk away from class feeling deeply rested, revitalized, and calm. That's our guarantee.

In this class, you'll be guided through a practice that is supported by yoga props, long holds and deeply relaxing practices. All levels welcome.

All yoga is the same, right?

Not really. There are different styles of yoga depending on your goals or needs. If you feel exhausted, stressed, anxious, mentally & physically drained, or looking for a sense of calm. Restorative yoga can be a great solution.

Our nervous system is constantly under duress. With everything competing for our attention all the time. While all yoga is good, restorative yoga does specific work. For the energetic body or sukshma shahira as we call it in yoga. You revitalize from the inside out.

What to Expect?

An hour long class that is not focused on stretching or working out. It's more on rest & recovery. The instructor will mindfully guide you through everything creating an environment of deep relaxation. You just need to sign up and show up!

Frequently Asked Questions.

What do I bring to class?
Not much. Just your yoga mat.
Can I switch between online and in-studio?
Yes you can switch between the two. At our yoga studio we have all the props available. If you practice at home, you'll need a yoga mat, bolsters, blankets & blocks.
Do I need to be experienced to do this class?
No yoga experience necessary. Suitable for all levels.
Can I eat before class?
Yes, but we recommend not eating at least an hour before class as this will make you drowsy in class.
