Aham Yoga’s 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training is a flexible, in-depth program offered as weekend modules once a month. Each module will dive into the depths of study and practice. The space between modules will help participants study, practice, and apply what has been learnt in class into the real world – and then bring back experiences, inspiration, and questions to class. Between sessions, participants will have access to homework assignments, online support via video chat, and an exclusive Facebook group to stay engaged, productive and inspired.

This program will provide you with an detailed, expert-level education in hatha & vinyasa yoga technique, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, anatomy, and yoga therapeutics. It is suitable for students of every lineage who want more depth, skill, understanding, and inspiration in their practice and teaching of yoga.

- You will be notified about acceptance status within 2 weeks. Upon acceptance, you will be required to take care of enrollment formalities within 2 weeks time. Limited spots are available.
- If you are not an Aham Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training graduate, participant will be asked to complete our Bridge Program, which consists of 25 hours of online course work. Details coming soon.
- Once enrolled, you will be added to our online video and Facebook groups. Simple course work will begin virtually before in-class modules begin.

- Module ONE: Understanding Modern Yoga
Build on our module of Classical Yoga Tradition. In this module, you will develop an understanding of the export of yoga from the east to the west, the impact that this transit had on the discipline of yoga, and how it still impacts us today. We will study those who have shaped the future of yoga for us, and learn how to stay authentic as a yoga teacher while learning to cope with the modern day demands in the yoga industry.
- Module TWO: Mistakes in Yoga Poses and How to Fix Them
This module is designed to teach you the foundational aspects of all the categories of yoga poses – from inversions to backward bends and arm balances. You will enrich your knowledge of yoga poses, and enhance your ability to build safe and effective yoga sequences backed by intelligence and clarity, and learn how to spot common mistakes and learn simple strategies to address them.
- Module THREE: Classical Yoga Tradition (Online)
Explore the fascinating journey of yoga through time. In this module, you will trace the origins of yoga and its passage through 5,000 years of history, and develop a clear understanding of what yoga was thousands of years ago and how it has changed from then until now. As a modern yoga practitioner, this will help you look back at the sacred art of yoga, understand it’s foundation, and then draw your connection to this ancient practice now with clarity and precision.
- Module FOUR: Pranayama – The Yogic Art of Breathing
Often overlooked in western yoga, the knowledge and practice of pranayama to improve and enhance the benefits of breathing is a hidden gem of wisdom awaiting to be discovered. In this module, you will learn to understand the mechanics of the breath along with the various breathing exercises that will not only help you sustain a longer, healthier, and more authentic yoga career, but also allow you to take your students to greater depths within their own practice of yoga as well.
- Module FIVE: Pre & Post Natal Yoga for Women
In this module, we will explore yogic wisdom regarding conception, pregnancy, and postpartum. You will enhance your knowledge and understanding of how a womans’ body anatomy changes and evolves during pregnancy, and how to teach and build yoga sequences for students’ based on the needs of the three trimesters. You will learn how to help prepare your students for childbirth, develop the intelligent use of props for a safe practice, and understand how to encourage postnatal care through the practice of yoga.
- Module SIX: Yoga Nidra and Meditation
True relaxation is an internal experience and cannot be derived from anything outside. For absolute relaxation, one must remain aware. This is Yoga Nidra, the state of dynamic sleep. It is a systematic method of introducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. During the practice of Yoga Nidra, one appears to be asleep while the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness – it is the threshold between sleep and wakefulness. During this practice, the state of relaxation is reached by turning our focus inwards, away from external distractions. In this module, you will learn the difference between shavasana and Yoga Nidra, and how to lead your students into pure relaxation.
- Module SEVEN: The Power of Sequencing
Modern yoga thinks of the fancy transitions between yoga poses as creative yoga sequencing, but at Aham Yoga we take a slightly different approach. We go beyond fancy transitions to the core of the pose itself, thereby enhancing the practitioners experience of the pose and creating much more depth within their yoga practice. In this module, learn how to inspire, deepen, and grow your students’ yoga practice through our expert understanding of yoga sequencing.
- Module EIGHT: Art of Adjustments
This module helps you understand the complicated system involved in adjusting your students’ in yoga poses. Explore the ancient, yet powerful art of verbal adjustments, and learn how and when to support students with physical adjustments to enhance the experience of their practice. Knowing the art of adjustments also involves knowing when to hold back. This module will provide insight into the most effortless ways of adjusting while protecting your own body and energy as well.
- Module NINE: Yoga Anatomy for Better Function and Form
To be a better yoga teacher, one needs to develop a thorough understanding of human anatomy, form, and function. This module will cover the shoulder, pelvic, knee, and ankle joints as well as the spine, with more depth and clarity to help you gain a deeper understanding of how to practice safely and effectively.
- Module TEN: Study of the Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradeepika
To truly advance your training level, one needs to explore some of the pivotal texts of yoga. This module will cover the hidden gems in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. You will develop a practical understanding on how to enhance your yoga practice drawing from the wisdom in the Yoga Sutras and the Hatha Yoga Pradeepika texts.
- Module ELEVEN: Student Psychology and Business of Yoga
No two people are alike. Therefore, no two students’ in a yoga class are alike. With the state of our current events, it is no hidden fact that people are more mentally unsettled now than they were before, and it’s important to recognize how this has impacted the expectations of students’ as they enter a yoga class. Your yoga class. This module will help you understand the psychology behind your yoga students, and how to meet and manage their expectations successfully. We will explore various scenarios, and how to react to them while keeping yogic principles in check. Find a new way to set and meet expectations.
- Module TWELVE: Presentation
You will be given a unique presentation project from a list of preseleted categories in which you will get to choose from – based on your areas of interest that you would like to delve deeper into. This is unique to our training at Aham Yoga, and will help you gain deeper understanding from a variety of topics chosen by different participants.
