WHAT IS PRANAYAMA?

Pranayama is the science of the yogic breath, an integral part of the eight limbs of yoga. Proceeded by asana, or the physical practice, pranayama is a means by which one can go deeper into their yoga practice. Helping the practitioner of yoga reach new subtleties of existence, experiencing the benefits of a healthier, more intelligent, and sensitive breath. 

The classes are led by Arundhati Baitmangalkar, as she shares the wisdom that she has learnt and practised with her teachers. Come discover various breathing techniques that are not only challenging, but also detailed, explained, corrected, and consistent. Leaving you to feel more refreshed, energized, active, and peaceful. WHO IS THIS FOR?

Pranayama requires one to be seated upright for an extended duration of time, so the best benefits are felt by those who already have a consistent asana, or physical practice. With that, we are opening this up to anybody who wants to work on the efficiency of their respiratory system – the breath is an integral part of how our mind functions. Open only to adults above the age of 15.

OPEN TO TEACHERS

Are you a yoga teacher who has studied pranayama, but never got to experience it in its entirety? Are you looking to take your practice, as well as your students, to a deeper level? Then this pranayama series will be perfect for you. You will walk away not only feeling refreshed, but also having gained practical understanding and knowledge of what pranayama is and how to practice and share it with others.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Yoga Mat (studio rental mats are $2).
  • Comfortable clothes that allow movement.
  • Water bottle and face towel.
  • Pre-registration encouraged.
  • Classes on an empty stomach. Tea is okay.

HOW TO ENROLL?

Optimally, we recommend that you sign up for the entire series, 6 classes: $120 (early bird price $105 until 12.11.16)

Calendar issues?  Drop-in rate is $20 at the door. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign up. First come, first serve (full series enrollments take priority)

Dates: Class will be from January 21st – February 25th, 2017 , every Saturday from  9:15am to 10am

Please note – Class series expires on February 25th and cannot be transferred, shared, refunded or carried over to other classes.
